Each AFS Recruit is taught the art of hand-to-hand combat.
Utilizing ancient martial skills that have been distilled and refined to a fine
tactical edge, the striking and kicking techniques taught to Recruits insure a high
degree of battlefield survival in melee situations. Though weapons are the preferred
tools of the trade, an unarmed AFS trooper remains a formidable combatant.

Strong against very heavy targets, but costly in ammunition.
It is well known that machine guns overheat quickly and consume
ammo at an alarming rate, but they provide substantial advantages
in return. For foes with heavy armor or very high health, it helps
to have a weapon that delivers high damage at a fast rate. In these
cases, the setup time for reaching short range and getting a full bead
is offset by extended firing time without reloads.

Damages targets while healing user. Useful when wounded. With each hit the Leech Gun lands, the target’s health is damaged while the user’s health is simultaneously restored. The Leech Gun’s double benefits of damaging opponents while healing its user are especially suited to intense combat situations, as it gives the trooper one less thing to worry about. With health concerns on the back burner, the soldier can focus more attention on the fight and less on restorative items and techniques.

Commandos learn how to use rocket launchers, and they are grateful for this training. These heavy weapons blast enemy groups to dust. Commandos frequently pulverize Juggernauts, Stalkers, Striders, and other big-ticket Bane targets. This process is even more effective with Logosreceptive troops; such combatants use Rage and rocket attacks to obliterate their targets

The Grenade Launcher utilizes 25mm HE Grenade rounds switchable for air-burst
or direct impact firing. The offset handle is used to chamber rounds loaded into the top of
the ammunition magazine. The counterweight in the front aids in recoil abatement by swinging back
during the firing sequence.

Rangers learn to use these guns. Though a single-target device, the net gun is prized for its ability to hold dangerous enemies in place while they endure damage. Fast-moving melee attackers are safely dispatched with net guns. Large enemy groups are least affected.

The Polarity Gun employs twin lasers to create an ionized pathway between the weapon and the target.
The main barrel spins up to a critical speed building a charge. The main pulse is fired when maximum damage potential has been achieved.

The Injector Gun is used to incapacitate or hinder creatures and foes by injecting them with applicable chemicals or substances.

The core weapon of the Grenadier is the Propellant Gun, which shoots a jet of pressurized gasses, vaporized liquids
and other hazardous materials at high speeds in a cone-like area in front of the weapon.

Staffs are used either in melee or for launching short-range attacks. These weapons are heavily damaging, able to crush an enemy quickly. Users favor their aesthetic value; many guardians hold to a certain style, and staffs promote this

Torqueshell guns are more expensive to use than normal pistols, but they have increased range. This gives snipers a bit more leeway in engaging targets that they wish to drop quickly without hitting an entire group.

Blades seem antiquated, and they are somewhat neglected in modern warfare. Yet, modern advances have created melee weapons that can slice through many armor types, natural barriers, and so forth. It takes very specialized instruction to truly master blade weapons, but all spies have the ability to complete pre-certification training in these weapons.
