The following article, written by Steve Bauman, was featured in the June 2004 Issue of "Computer Games" (their online website is located here), right before the unveiling of Tabula Rasa at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2004. It was the first overview that featured actual in-game pictures, with Richard Garriott and other members of the Team talking more in detail about various mechanics associated to the game.

We are presenting it here for archival purposes only: since then, Tabula Rasa underwent a significant artistic and design overhaul, as you can see by surfing the official site and TR Stratics itself. While some fundamental design objectives may still hold true for the general "direction" of the game, 99% of what you are going to read (and see) is basically no more.

That being said, it's an enjoyable and insightful piece of "history" for Tabula Rasa, and TR Stratics is pleased to make it available for everyone.
