Richard Garriott and Destination Games have created an entire runic language for Tabula Rasa. This language has been designed so anyone should be able to read it no matter what their native language is. During E3 NCSoft gave out Triskelion which had runes or 'ideograms' around the outside of it. Looking at the back of the disk under an ultra violet light reveals the meaning of the runes on the front. From the official site:
Nearly 50 years ago, an archeologist found an unusual artifact during a routine research project in Macchu Pichu. It was a small disk with a metallic triskelion in the center and strange ideograms along the edge. The unusual disk was dubbed, "The Mystery of Piedra de las Acianos" and received very little attention for many years.
Several years ago, "The Benefactor Stone," as the disk was now called, found its way to the United States. A small team of researchers began to seriously examine the disk using modern scientific equipment. They found that the ideograms constituted a form of communication. They further hypothesized that disk itself was possibly alien in origin.
The excitement surrounding this discovery eventually led to the establishment of a privately-funded research project now known as the Benefactor Stone Project.
A series of disks bearing certain ideograms from the original Benefactor Stone have been reproduced and are now being distributed nationwide. If you would like to participate in the Benefactor Stone Project and help to uncover the mystery surrounding this unusual artifact, please monitor playtr.com in coming months to find out how to get involved.
The CD contained within, called 'The Tabula Rasa Sampler' contains screenshots, a gameplay trailer, desktop backgrounds, music from the game by Chris Vrenna & Clint Walsh (of Tweaker fame) as well as other music selections inspired by the game. NCSoft & Waxploitation have kindly given us permission to host the first six tracks of the ten on the CD for you to download. Please note only the first two tracks are actually from the game's soundtrack. The third and forth tracks are by the same artists, collectively know as Tweaker and are from their excellent recent album; 2am wake up call, the others are other artists on the Waxploitation label -
